What is
FUNNYCON
?

FunnyCon is part comedy festival, part comedy business convention. From live performances and workshops to screenings and awards, FunnyCon aims to celebrate the best in comedy across all media. The mission is to create a space where fans and creators connect, learn, share their love of the funny-making arts, and most importantly, laugh themselves silly.

While events like Comic-Con focus on various genres of entertainment, FunnyCon zeroes in on comedy, finally giving it recognition in its own time during the funniest holiday season of the year (April Fool's) March 31-April 2, 2026. FunnyCon takes place in Chicago, America's comedy capital and birthplace of iconic institutions like The Second City, Improv Olympic, and Annoyance Theater—it's also the home base of The Onion.
